If this was the other way around (a heatwave in summer), that same man would ascribe it to Global warming/Climate change. If the Global Warming was a real thing with the Arctic warming faster than the tropics, then the temperature gradient would be less and it would be less stormy and cold. Satellite data shows no warming for the last 8 years.

@Lies Tricks UAHv6 satellite data global mean temperature change: October 2014 to September 2022, trend minus 0.01°C (that's about minus 0.1°C a century). So sorry for being childish. I should have said it's getting cooler. Enjoy the snow. Merry Christmas.

@Lies Tricks I'm not lying, and in fact, I agree with you. If you take the linear trend in the data it's a touch over a tenth of a degree per decade. As you have in your reply. But also that pace of warming has slowed or paused in the last 8 years. No doubt some warming will continue.But the atmosphere does not appear to be as sensitive to the addition of CO2 that many people and their models expected.
