  1. More propaganda from Auntie Beeb. There is no drying trend for rainfall in Syria. The natural environment is arid or semi-arid. The rainfall is naturally highly variable both spatially and temporally. "We conclude that there is no evidence of progressive multi-decadal drying either in the Fertile Crescent region as a whole, or in northeast Syria specifically." Selby et al. 2017.
