  6. @Richard Blazer  In no way did my comment imply that humans do not have an effect on the environment e.g. chopping down trees. Although global tree cover increased by 7% between 1982 and 2018. And it should also be noted that the Earth has got a lot greener over the last four decades, with over 40% of the Earth's land surface experiencing significant greening. This is largely due to the fertilising effect of the extra CO2 in the atmosphere. Seems like a positive effect to me.
