@Mazes S A can you show me the exact treaty that was signed between NATO and Russia? Not to mention that if this promise was made, which we will never know for sure, it was made with a now non existing state. Considering Russia loves you to use the "we made that agreement with another government and we don't recognize the current one" I think this one falls in that category too. Also it says enough about your state of mind when your first instinct when somebody says something about your country's actions, is to use whataboutism. It's not unlike a child saying when he is caught doing something bad "but he/she did it too mom!"
