It is what years of propaganda does to people. Alot of the soldiers get some sense back when seeing the reality (not all of them), whilst those at home are under even more propaganda influence right now. It is not different fferent from the nazis.

@eenigheid3186 technically he is sort of right. Although 60% is a huge exaggeration. But Russia from it's western borders up to it's Caucasus borders and the Ural mountains is part of the European continent. That said Russia has been making it very clear the past decades that it's not a European but Eurasian culture (imperialist propaganda essentially) so in practical sense in regards to culture aswell as norms and values they are not part of Europe yeah. Geographic though, they are. Ukraine is the largest country to be completely situated in Europe, France is the largest EU member and Russia is the country with the largest European territory (if it only had its European territory, it would be the largest European state).

@albo8404 to be clear that also includes, for me, the case of Bush and his wars in Afghanistan and specifically Iraq. Modern imperialism and I, together with most in my country, were against this BS war. So want to be clear, not anti Russian, but anti Imperialist. But yeah Bush is a war criminal too, his whole justification was bs and the UN security council told the US to not do it and he was like "🖕".

@vittoriosecreto6346 Kremlin bot. It's funny how you call them nazi's while they have had multiple democratically elected governments since 2014. The narrative of having had different parties and presidents being voted into power doesn't really match the way the nazis, and facists overall, work. I'd say look at Russia if you want to see an actual example of a facist state.

@albo8404 the agreement torpedoed by the Russians from the start? Yeah..

@albo8404 what's with Instanbul? If you meant it like Turkey which is disagreering, you should say Ankara, as that is the capital. Also Turkey is not really part of Europe and under Erdogan I would say it is not really part of the Western World anymore either. So what was your point?

@albo8404 your reaction says all. Difference between you and I is that I do my own research and not just believe anything either Russian or Ukrainian and Western media tells me. Lavrov is a liar and I don't trust anything he says as he has on multiple occasions blatantly lied or contradicted reality with his statements. Blindly following a leader and just believing all he said is the path the Germans followed in the 30's and 40's. See what that brought them and the world. The fact you immediately defend with the "Ukraine is winning" stuff says more about you than me. As no Ukraine isn't winning right now, the war is tactically currently a statement as both sides win and lose ground, but with a slight advantage to the Russians. Strategically the war is a loss for the Russians, which doesn't necessarily mean a victory for Ukraine. Russia is in a strategically in a much worse position than it was in before the war, even if it would take all of Ukraine. Its international reputation has been damaged and will take a long time recovering. Economically it has become much more reliant of China (which in the long run might be a bad thing for Russia in the might makes right world it has ushered in again) and military its shown to be extremely incompetent and the myth of Russian power is broken. We see this in the EU (even small Lithuania) and US taking much more hostile actions towards Russia than they would have a few months ago. Not to mention Finland and Sweden that will join NATO, which means actually extending the NATO-Russian border and threatening Murmansk and Saint Petersburg and effectively cutting of Kaliningrad in case of hostilities. The war was a strategic blunder, just like how Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan were for the US.

@albo8404 that's assuming. I don't think I have all right but I don't believe old men with revisionist and revanchist views and have delusions of grandeur. When old men send young men to die for dreams of imperialism, that's a big red flag to me tbh ))
