@jim2376 that's a really ignorant, and American, answer. The modern Russian army has nothing in common with the older red army other than being its successor. As Russia is not communist at all (you know the reason why the Red army was called "Red" in the first place). Modern Russia is actually a more facist nation and it's army has more in common with the German Wehrmacht of WW2 or actually the Italian army of WW2 considering the incompetence.

The Red army has been gone for a looooong time mate. As the Red army was replaced by the Soviet army in 1946 which itself ceased to exists in 1992 as it was abolished and was split in many new national armies. Largest of which is the Russian army.

@jim2376 Again really American to start giving these names ugh. Funny thing is that I actually agree with the rest of your comment about the army. It's just sad that American ignorance, and arrogance ,as you think you know better than someone who has studied this very subject which is honestly sad. You kinda proof the Russians right a little bit with your comment. They say that after the fall of the USSR you kept treating them like they were still the USSR, and behold you actually do. Russia is not the USSR. It's armed forces are a successor to the Red Army, just as the Ukrainian and Belarusian army. The point I was trying to make is calling the Russian army the Red Army is like calling the Ukrainian army the Red Army. Aka pure fiction and the signs of someone stuck in the past. I support Ukraine to the fullest, but calling the Russian army Red army is just bs and would actually disrespect those Ukrainians that fought and died for that army.

@popthis8891 you are aware that the rest of the west has nothing to do with the Biden stuff right? We couldn't care less. It's internal American politics. Just like didn't do anything about Russia's internal policies
