  1. you are aware that apartheid wasn't practised in the Netherlands right? It was done in South Africa, where they speak Afrikaans (formerly considered Dutch, now a daughter language of Dutch). So saying "apartheid" is a Dutch word is a bit misleading isn't it. Would be the same as blaming the UK for something another English speaking country has done. About the slave trading past, has literally nothing to do with modern times. I don't say there is no racism in the Netherlands but this historical slave traders argument is getting old. Literally all countries have, at some point, held slaves and made people slaves. Past slave trading has nothing to do with current racism. There are other, more valid, reasons for this. Also no the Dutch weren't the first. The first of the "modern" slave traders were the Portugese. Not to mention the slaves within the Roman Empire and the many other states of antiquity and medieval times. How can you honestly call the Dutch the first? lol

  2.  @Green-u07  I agree with you. I tried pointing out to the OP that the slave trading argument is getting old and is ridiculous as well as that mentioning apartheid is especially dumb.
