@FOLIPE well in a way yes, but I think we live in a different situation in regards that a country has the right to determine itself to what "sphere of influence" it wants or doesn't want to belong. Obviously smaller states would orbit around larger states, this is how the world works. But the days of forcefully dragging a nation in your sphere of influence are over. In this Dugin has 20th century views. Ultranationalist views actually. Then again he has facist leanings as the founder of the National Bolshevism party in Russia.

@CB0408 Better yet would be to see the true Belarusian flag, the white-red-white flag, waving in Minsk again after so long.

Yeah you're right. I agree with you. And in regards to Dugin. He has facist tendencies and he is revanchist as well. So yeah, just like the Germans blamed everything on the allies after ww1, the Russians blame all on the west after the cold war.

Yeah well I am curious what Ukraine has to give up. If it's only neutral status with guarantees from Canada, Israel, Poland and Turkey, I'd say they should do so. Would mean they would not be able to join NATO but be a close partner of it, like Sweden and Finland are right now. Let's be honest Ukraine wouldn't be allowed to join for a while anyway. However if it means they have to give up Crimea and Donbass... I doubt the Ukrainian population would agree with that in the referendum.
