Having to be forced to wear hijabs or not doesn't have to do with being a democracy or not. Democracy simply means that the people govern the country (done through voting) be it direct or indirect. Democracy litterally meaning "rule of the people". Assad's regime wasn't democratic but secular (thus not implementing laws based on religion). If a majority in a country would vote for a law that forces women to wear hijabs, that would be democratic, even if we wouldn't necessarily like it ourselves.

@jorger8806 he wasn't at the time. NATO was preparing to support whatever rebel/partizan factions would arise in order to make Ukraine like Afghanistan for the Russians. Instead the Russians got kicked out of Kyiv, Zhytomir, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava and Mykolaiv Oblasts as well as most of Kharkiv Oblast and part of Kherson oblast (including the oblast capital Kherson)

@vincentdimitri169 sure Moskal, it ofcourse wasn't Russia invading Ukraine (already in 2014) but instead the fault of Ukraine or somehow the US...
