  2.  @AIwRussia  I have rarely seen so much twisting of history as I have seen in your comment wow. About the ancient Rus', Ukraine, and Belarus, actually have more of a claim to it's legacy than Russia. As the current Russian state is a Moscovite state and barely has anything to do with the old Rus' state. But then again we will delve into historical claims which are pointless to begin with. About Bandera, this shows once more the obsession by the Russians (and formerly the USSR) with this person. I have heard more Russians speak about him, than Ukrainians. I want to point you to the phenomenon of myth forming. As the Bandera some Ukrainians see as a hero is a mythical version of the real Bandera (which was a horrible person). The mythical version of Bandera is considered a hero for standing up for Ukrainian independence and against Russian domination, which I think you understand is important to them the last decade don't you think? He is not considered a hero for his nazi actions. It's just like how the Russians consider Lenin a hero, whilst he has done countless terrible things. Another example is Genghis Khan or Alexander the Great. Two great conquerors, one actually given the nickname "the Great". and yet murderers of thousands of people. About naming the massacre in Volyn, this is honestly hypocritical considering Moscow's own actions against the Poles in Katyn forest. So yeah if we start naming atrocities we will have a long and pointless conversation. So yeah Bandera was a horrible person, but he only became important for the Ukrainians after he was killed by the KGB, as he became a symbol, a martyr, for the cause of Ukrainian independence. He is a much just a myth and symbol as the hammer and sickle are the symbols of communism.
