@nocturnalowl5867 volunteer not mercenary, krembot. He was a combatant under the Geneva conventions. These are war crimes and those responsible will be punished. The Hague will be busy after the war is over.

@bigbaggy he is not a mercenary according to the geneva conventions. He is a volunteer. He isn't a mercenary because he services directly for the Ukrainian armed forces. Nationality of a soldier is not important. A mercenary, according to the geneva conventions, are those fighting for a country without being part of said army or properly being integrated. Examples of this are wagner group and Blackwater. Which means that a Russian fighting for the wagner group IS a mercenary, whilst a foreigner fighting for Ukraine is NOT a mercenary, merely a volunteer. Meaning that foreigner volunteers are combatans according to the Geneva conventions and these acts on them are considered war crimes. Whilst those fighting for the Wagner group, including Russians, are not considered combatans and are therefore NOT protected by the Geneva conventions.

@user-tt6be2zx3h stating facts by stating ww2.... the only fact he showed is that he, and his fellow Russians are stuck in a ww2 era mindset. We signed, and ammended, the Geneva conventions not for nothing.
