lol so what about the Chechens.. they wanted to be independent. also the self determination thing is good, when those people that want to join Russia weren't colonisers in the first place.... because that's what's happening here. colonists taking parts of other nations lands to return to be part of the colonial empire that put them in that region in the first place.

@reinardish well because he is an old man. Embittered, also by NATO mistakes, and frankly he lives in another world. When we're old our grandchildren will also say that our way of thinking is old fashioned. That's why I think leaders should be between 35 and 50. Not to young to react impulsively, but also not to old that they have lost with the world around them.

@lauris5275 Putin doesn't decide what happens in independent sovereign nations. Russians don't seem to realise that nukes only work as long as they're not used... the moment they're use, the Russians will be retaliated against and the deterrence part of nuclear weapons would be gone
