@Saltcracker007 can you give me an example of a foreign military attack on US territory? Let alone on it's heartland on the North American continent?

@penningtonknickernacker921 no. they shouldn't cross into Russia at all. only move within their 1991 internationally recognized border.
1
@jameskuyper because they would lose international support the moment they move into Russia

@jameskuyper I didn't say they shouldn't have done the strike. Read more closely. I actually think it was a good thing. However what I meant was no invasion of Russian lands as you'll become an aggresor yourself then. I doubt NATO will help Ukraine in what then becomes an offensive war.
1
@jameskuyper not to mention that Russia has the military doctrine in which it can deploy tactical and strategic nuclear weapons in case of a existential threat to the Russian state. Which an invasion of Russia itself would be. The dumbest thing Ukraine could do is move into Russia (I don't mean Crimea or Donbass obviously). I am a supporter of Ukraine and I am glad they actually use their brain and don't let emotions get the better of them.

@jameskuyper yes obviously. That is also not what I meant and you know this. What I am trying to say is that Europe and the US wouldn't be able to justify supplying weapons to a country that is occupying foreign territory and attacking it's neighbours cities. Ukraine would lose alot of the global sympathy. I think you knew perfectly well what I meant but focus on a single word that I misused as a non native English speaker.

@jameskuyper I am sure they won't get that far. The thing with Russia bring that they can use whatever they want as an excuse. Call it an existential threat. Putin would see Ukrainians moving into Russia as a threat to his regime. In his mind he is Russia. Hope you get how I mean it hahaha. I can be vague sometimes
1
@jameskuyper well I think the both us will agree that we hope that some day Ukraine will be restored to within it's internationally recognized borders. Aka 1991 birders.
1
@jameskuyper the part about Putin is true I agree. And yeah especially Donbass and Crimea will be difficult. But I do say, no surrender of any territory to Russia. Doesn't seem they will surrender territory though. There is no mood for that within the Ukrainian population.
