@faytachiMPS they initially didn't repel the German invasion at all lol. the only thing saving the USSR at that point, was its sheer size

@faytachiMPS you do realise that any other country losing so many man and ground would have lost right? You can't deny this. Don't glorify the Soviets. They were like the Russian army now.

@faytachiMPS the USSR eventually managed to regroup, thanks to some outstanding officers and American/British land lease support. But initially the Germans pushed rather easily. Encircling large parts of the Russian army. The Russians just kept on coming. Encircle 200.000 and 400.000 will take their place

@faytachiMPS it's sheer size gave it the time to mobilize and regroup. Again any other country would have collapsed losing so much territory. Actually most would be completely occupied lol. Same with the personal losses. Why are you so butthurt admitting this. It is the Russian strategy as they can afford to lose so much territory. So yes it's size safed it.

@suzyrottencrotch5132 are you proud that your president kills ethnic Russians? Destroyed an Russian speaking city? Maybe they should level your city? Curious how much you'll cry then. And sure he could level Ukraine in 8 hours, if you believe that you should watch a little less propaganda. Between 15.000 en 17.000 orcs killed. I feel sorry for the boys that were send there to die by an old man. He doesn't even care for them. The Russian population doesn't even care for them... what a country... that are more that's than the US had in the Iraqi and Afghan war combined. Which were decades long. Imagine having more casualties in 1 month than then USSR had in Afghanistan during the whole war there. And yet you are proud... how detached from reality are you?

@anonnimoose7987 14m Russians. 8m Ukrainians, 2m Belarusian and then the rest of the former SSR's for a total of 27m soviet casualties. so the impact on the current Russian Federation is 14m. so that would be less than 1/10th of modern Russia's population compared to slightly less then 1/5th of the modern Ukrainian population

@faytachiMPS lol nobody said that in the end of the war the Soviets didn't have a decent army. Why so butthurt to acknowledge that the USSR's size saved it 😂. It gave them time to regroup and rethink. It also made the German logistics overstretched. Why can't you admit this? The initial losses of land and soldiers would have been catastrophic for any other power in ww2. So again why can't you admit this.. Let me guess you're Russian?
