  2.  @bngr_bngr  because Russian created a civil war in the Donbass region... and if all had gone according to Russia's plan in 2014 it would have been a larger region. As you could see in the initial claims of Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics when they tried to form Novorossiya... it's terrible what happend in Donbass, instigated by Russia.

In everything else it's just a regional power. If Russia doesn't want others to join NATO, stop being an imperialist aggressor. Instead of trying to always dominate your neighbours, cooperate with them. That's the problem with Russia, it doesn't see it's neighbours as equals. Neighbouring countries tend to not like it when a bigger country tries to dominate them....

European countries for decades neglected their militaries... these countries wanted the US military to protect them.... I know a Russian hearing all the propaganda can't believe that as in your twisted minds the west is out to destroy you.
