@rarirover44 see here the intellectual level of the right wing of politics.

josephstolen-election5949 and yet it is Russia who is fighting an imperialist war. A country wanting to join NATO isn't imperialism, invading a country because it wants to, is. Ironically it proves that all the former Warsawpact countries, were right

@bastaardzmuller nice way to blame it on Europe. Who started all this by saying Ukraine and Georgia could become NATO members without consultation of its allies? I mean I am all for Ukraine and Georgia joining and I always was, but the way the US went about that was rather clumsy.

@fivefifteen7957 Viktor Yanukovych was president at the time/just ousted (Russian medals say the operation started when he was still president), followed by interim president Oleksandr Turchynov and then Viktor Poroshenko. I am not speaking about Obama. I think Obama was a great president, and considering the collapse of the Ukrainian army and navy in 2014, he couldn't have done much more. The president who wanted to invite Ukraine and Georgia before they were ready was Bush. Obama also just did the only thing he could. However this also wasn't on the European countries. What should they have done? Invade? Ofcourse I, as a half Ukrainian, was also disappointed. But I am glad everyone helps now. But to ask you the same question, what should Europe have done? All the fighting would have needed to be done by volunteers (like Azov) and NATO, as the regular armed forces effectively disintegrated. There is plenty of footage of it. Ukraine 2014 and now are different countries. I am glad it has moved to the West. Слава Україні. The fact is that we've all made mistakes, including the US and also UA for trusting the Moskals whilst history has taught us otherwise, but in the end all is on Putin as he created this situation.

@gtmo55mack20 I agree. Extremists on both sides tend to act like this. I am a centrist and the US would be hell for me. But in this regard it says enough that someone responded the way he did

It still isn't. In which way does it threaten the US? None. China is your biggest threat.

He was right and Romny is still. The biggest threat to the US, is China. Russia has an economy smaller than that of the Benelux, is dependent on China and militarily conventionally very weak as seen by the war. Russia =/= the USSR. It isn't even worth standing in its shadow
