@ericsuarez834 you are so indoctrinated, I feel sorry for you. I hope that in decades from now you will realise this. Just like how the German population got to realise this after ww II. The claim about swastika's being used if false. About Bandera, as I said he's not necessarily a good person, nor is he evil. There are few, if any, 100% good or evil persons. They admire a certain aspect of him just as there are probably people that think Stalin was a good leader. That doesn't right the wrongs Bandera did. I try to give nuance to your statement that Ukrainians are nazi's, which is false. Again in the example of Stalin, I doubt anyone in Poland, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania would think positively about him, yet I have heard Russians say that he was a good leader...

@ericsuarez834 about Stephan Bandera, it's typical Russian to take this out of context. He is popular, mostly in Western Ukraine because he is seen as an independence fighter. Everyone has good and bad in him. The hero of one people is always the villain of another. And yes he did terrible things which should not be justified. But no they don't support him for collaboration with the nazi's. And yes the Russians, more specifically Putin, act like the nazi's. His whole justification for war seems to be a copy of Hitler's justification for his invasion into Poland. Before you begin of the Azov battalion, yes those guys are bad and nazi's. Most Ukrainians saw them as a necessary evil because they saved from Ukraine from collapsing in 2014 because of Russia's actions. Extremist right movements in Ukraine haven't even got a single seat in parliament cuz nobody votes for them. Stop spewing Putin propaganda.

@ericsuarez834 The only one behaving like a nazi right now, is Putin. If we will use historical arguments, his justifcation for the invasion of Georgia, illegal annexation of Crimea and the current invasion are exactly the same as Hitler's justifcation for the anschluss, annexation of the Sudentland and then invasion of Czechoslovakia and the invasion of Poland. There is no Russophobia, Russia is fucking paranoid. Just like how the Ukrainians aren't nazi's. Guess what every countries, including your beloved Russia has nazi's. I don't see Bandera as a hero nor do I support him. I pointed to the fact that both Russia and Ukraine use historical figures for propaganda by focussing on one aspect. But you are so focused in the Kremlin narrative that you actually believe everything they say. I ask you this, what does the West have to gain from invading Russia? Snow, ice and poor people... no thanks we have enough problems to deal with already

@ericsuarez834 I have studied history 😂😂 all your arguments have been Kremlin propaganda. Whilst I actually base my opinion on my knowledge of history and I can actually look at things from both sides. And about Bandera, I adore him as a Ukrainian trying to get independence against Stalin's USSR. In this context, Nazi Germany was his best choice yes. Applying our knowledge of how the war went is wrong, as he couldn't have known how the war went. He picked the losers. If Lenin lost during the Russian civil war, he would have been known as a traitor now. That's seeing things in historic context. They didn't know what would happen, just like we don't know how things will go now. People in the future will also question our decisions with their knowledge of how things went. And lastly, Bandera's actions against the Polish and Jews is appalling and disgusting. For someone claiming so much knowledge about history, you have a poor understanding of historic context and the rules of applying history to the modern times.

@ericsuarez834 I am actually sure that I know more about Russian history than you'll ever know. Putin twists this history for his own gains. His view of history is distorted and half truths. And then we don't even talk about the Russian obsession with the west and preserving us as a threat. Nobody in Europe would even care to invade Russia. It's Russian paranoia. The only reason NATO enlarged is Russia's own behaviour. If you don't want your neighbour's to join NATO, stop being an asshole and invade them. It's that simple.

@ericsuarez834 history will remember you as a fascist too. I don't support Bandera, I just understand why the Ukrainians do. They pick one aspect of him, which also shows the danger of using historical figures. Just trying to show different aspects and historical context, I told you about him as a historian. Considering you boast being so intelligent in regards to this. But you have no flexibility. According to you the world is as you see it with no room for other opinions.
