I'm especially glad that you took time to speak about Surovikin, and I think we can expect more terror towards civilians with him in charge! This is a guy who if I recall correctly killed three Russian civilian protestors by running his tank over them - and he’s in many ways the old school type who would prefer using old WW2 doctrines like carpet bombing cities!   3. Great work as always Anders. I watch a few Russian YouTubers and follow some on other Social Media. Also some who are older and not in risk of mobilization. It’s always interesting to see their takes on the political climate inside Russia! Another issue I would absolutely love hearing your take on, is the request for more modern weapon platforms, such as Multirole/Fighter Jets, (Gripen, F16, etc.), Multirole/CAS like attack helicopters, more air defence units, and of course, more Leopard 2. Is it even realistic for Ukraine to retake Crimea within a foreseeable future unless we supply these platforms??? The Russians are heavily entrenched by now, preparing for Ukraine going on the offense! My personal opinion is we might as well start making sure Ukraine can receive and utilize such platforms - I’ve learned a long time ago a saying I try to implement in my own life, “having the right tools is half the job" - and I think it’s about time we start focusing on giving Ukraine the right tools….. Aside for what has happened in Ukraine, next time, can you talk more about how Russia is planning to re-supply their stocks? What was a Russian freighter doing on a South African naval base, what can we expect? And what is the status inside Russia, a lot has pointed out that Putin seemed drunk, which is out of character for him.   22. Yeah, one of the largest problems, and that goes for everything where you speed up the training process is on the physical side. Smaller injuries that still can be problematic when they hit the combat zone are just more likely to happen when you don't have the time to build people up on the physical side. But hey, even four months isn't always enough for that part - hence, the reason why the most common injury among soldiers deployed to a war zone is back injuries, knee injuries, and ankle injuries. Things that isn't lethal, but can make soldiers less effective and put them at higher risk... That being said, it's still impressive what can be done when a range of countries send some of their best instructors.

  26.  @dpelpal  It's harming Russia in SO many ways. Think about this, who are most likely to flee the country right now? What we see is that a majority of them are young men with medium to longer educations, people who, if they do apply for asylum as Conscientious Objectors, and its granted them, has a higher chance of finding work in a long range of countries who are currently screaming for highly educated employees for their workforce. It's literally a brain drain of a generation happening! Now it's just, who will grant them asylum and take advantage of this opportunity.

  27. As Anders also mentioned in his last video, Prigozhin has the ears of many lower ranking Russian soldiers, and lately he's been brutally honest about the war being built on lies! Sure, he might be dishonest who's to blame, (by not blaming Putin, but solely Gerasimov and Shoigu, saying these two have been lying to Putin). Now soldiers who have been put through hell on earth and lost buddies, rarely take kindly to being told that everything they were fighting for was lies from the elite who just wanted brown nose points so they could become even more powerful back home. So it's going to be interesting to see if this new found awareness will spread in the ranks and how it will manifest itself!

  28.  @stefviljoen8928  Heck yeah, I don't know if he do any lecturing now, but I know he has been very involved in education within the Royal Danish Navy and I know he's currently a Royal Danish Navy Commander, and work as a Military Analyst and a Researcher at the Royal Danish Defence College, Institute for Military Operations, Center for Maritime Operations, and that he's a specialist on Ukraine and Russia. And that he's a common guest in especially Danish News Media whenever they need someone with profound insights into matters relating to the two countries! (This is ALL available as OSINT, so I'm not doxxing anything here). I can't help get the impression that he's a "nerd", and I mean that in the most positive way possible - and I get that impression from how he spend time doing this as well, and how his enthusiasm for sharing his insight shines through even when it's tough topics - in my experience this is also what makes people great as teachers, this joy and enthusiasm for explaining things.

  29. Yes, finally an update - I always look forward to these moments. I would love to hear your thoughts about if Ukraine would be more successful at the moment if they had western fighter jets? Would also love to hear your thoughts as a Naval Officer what can be done to strengthen Ukraine's capacity effectively in regards to their NAVY? Would it be small fast patrol boats subsidized by drones or? I think its extremely unfortunate that Ukraine receives cluster munition - the major problem is the amount of unexploded munition in areas the Ukrainians will have to enter and clean up 1000tak for at du endnu engang byder ind med dit perspektiv - det er, som altid, højt værdsat!!!

  39. War of attrition has always been a cold calculated approach, how do I get the enemy to waste as much ressources as possible, while keeping own loses as low as possible. By making Bakhmut a point of political importance in Russia, it automatically became a point of interest. It might not have tactical importance, it might not even have military strategic importance, but the strategic importance politically, by denying Russia a symbolic victory while depleting their resources, will undoubtedly pay off in the end. Just think about how the blame game in Kremlin will go down!

  40. I would really LOVE if you made a video with your perspective on what it as a minimum will take for Ukraine to reach the goal of taking Crimea. Can it be done without adding more sophisticated weapon platforms to what they're currently receiving? I'm especially thinking of the arm I see as currently lacking striking power, so the ability to gain better control over their own airspace, and the needed range into hostile territory to make significant strategic advances! So is it about time to get them better multirole fighter jets and attack helicopters? (And of course, more Leopards and Air Defence systems...)

  43.  @asdf3568  NATO leads KFOR, which is a international mission, mandated by the UN. Russia actually used to participate back when people still hoped that Russia would pursuit a path towards democracy, peace, stability, cooperation, and trade - it was even the hope that it would use its Partnership for Peace program status to seek towards the ability to join NATO. But let me guess, the vatnik media you have a preference for won't ever bring that up... On the other hand, Russia invaded and occupied Ukrainian territory in 2014 - the so called annexation is a clear violation of International Law, as it is unacceptable to annex occupied territory. (Read the Geneva Conventions)

  46.  @brendamayfuller8803  Yeah, I thought about that a lot to. I personally do suspect it's Parkinson, so definitely not something he's going to die from anytime soon. The way he steady himself definitely look like when Parkinson patients do it to keep their tremor under control. But we'll see - I wouldn't mind him dying in agony, but would prefer to see him live long enough to stand trial, but as I doubt that will ever happen, I can always hope for the agony part!

  47. If you go back and watch Anders's earlier videos and read his comments when asked by Danish media - he has never expressed the view that Ukraine would be runned over! Au contraire - and he is one of the experts at least Danish media has been turning to! But of course, it also has a lot to do with who it is you include in the category "experts"! The reason why I personally enjoy Anders's videos so much, is that I know he isn’t an "arm chair expert", but is literally a professional Military Analyst! And although he is a Navy guy, he still seem capable of staying sober long enough to make a video…. - (Just kidding, I got nothing against the Navy, and they got some brilliant people)

  49.  @asdf3568  Russia participated in KFOR - they even got medals for participating! Look it up! And yes, KFOR was established under UN mandate! The UN also run the civilian UNMIK mission in Kosova, where parts of it is being taken over by the EULEX mission. There's absolutely no violation of "Serbian territory". Perhaps you should look it up before making wrongful statements...
