Great work as always Anders.
I watch a few Russian YouTubers and follow some on other Social Media.
Also some who are older and not in risk of mobilization.
It’s always interesting to see their takes on the political climate inside Russia!
Another issue I would absolutely love hearing your take on, is the request for more modern weapon platforms, such as Multirole/Fighter Jets, (Gripen, F16, etc.), Multirole/CAS like attack helicopters, more air defence units, and of course, more Leopard 2.
Is it even realistic for Ukraine to retake Crimea within a foreseeable future unless we supply these platforms???
The Russians are heavily entrenched by now, preparing for Ukraine going on the offense!
My personal opinion is we might as well start making sure Ukraine can receive and utilize such platforms - I’ve learned a long time ago a saying I try to implement in my own life, “having the right tools is half the job" - and I think it’s about time we start focusing on giving Ukraine the right tools…..
As always, thank you for your insight - as always, your perspective is very much appreciated!
Tusind tak for at du bruger tid på at dele dine tanker om krigen med os Anders!

 @NTravellerÂ
Again, as I explained to you earlier, and you apparently have a hard time understanding, Anders is an individual who qua his education and work actually do have an informed insight into issues revolving Russian domestic politics
The fact that your "non-partisan", (what a freakin' JOKE)), ass doesn’t like the perspective that he brings, doesn’t make it less correct or less valid!
And all the BS about what an average individual would or wouldn’t know about another country is so laughable and naive, because you completely ignore that this isn’t an "average Joe" but a highly educated Officer in the Royal Danish Navy who as part of his job, like so many Royal Danish Navy Officers before him, is specialized in Russia and Ukraine, both Militarily and Politically!
The fact that Anders is also a nerd, who like to make YouTube videos, and share some insight with the rest of us is just pretty neat, but since you clearly don’t appreciate hearing his perspective, you’re absolutely free to plug your small fat fingers into your ear holes while loudly and repeatedly proclaiming how "non-partisan" you are, to yourself and to anyone dumb enough to believe you!….

No, Crimea isn't "de-facto considered a part of Russia now" - Crimea is considered a occupied territory!
The thing is, no matter how many fake referendums Russia chose to have, it's still a clear cut violation of International Law to attempt annexation of an occupied territory!
Now if Russia wasn't ruled by a dumb bunch of Criminals, they could have tried a different approach and have Crimea declare independence. Then it would have been much more murky, but no, the wannabe Tzar and his "Oligarch Bratva" in Kremlin decided to go full blown old school imperialist and take a huge dumb on international law!
This is why it's primarily authoritarian regimes, and wannabe authoritarians who support Russia.
But the modern civilized part of the world is fed up with criminal regimes who haven't figured out how to live or act in the 21st century - FFS, even the Americans and the British has figured out that the era where empire-building by conquest was anywhere near acceptable, is long gone.
It's just a bunch of Criminals in Kremlin and a failed caricature of Winnie the Pooh, who continue to have these feverish wet dreams of a time long gone where an emperor could gain clout by conquering other countries!

Some people clearly did for a while yes, when they finally reached the breaking point, but the time it took before anything happened - and a large portion of people didn't really care, they were miserable anyway.
There's an old Russian saying that goes something alike "Never wish death upon the Tzar", where it's implicit that the meaning is because the next one might be even worse.
I think that saying is basically how a lot of Russians think.
There's also a more recent episode I read about and often remind myself about when it come to trying to understand the mindset of the average Russian - but this is a more contemporary one.
It happened at a political rally for Navalnyj and after he had given his talk a man came up to him, and told him he was very excited about the things Navalnyj had said, and; "if you become president, I will definitely vote for you" - and no, this isn't poorly translated, the IF part was there.
It's about siding with the one who has power - if the policies then excites you, it's just considered a bonus...
