Well, to be fair, you where mostly busy living your life - and Anders is a military analyst by profession!

Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to give us your take on the current situation in Russia - it’s always highly appreciated hearing your perspective! Mange tak for at du gider at dele dine tanker med os Anders - værdsætter det virkelig meget!

If you go back and watch Anders's earlier videos and read his comments when asked by Danish media - he has never expressed the view that Ukraine would be runned over! Au contraire - and he is one of the experts at least Danish media has been turning to! But of course, it also has a lot to do with who it is you include in the category "experts"! The reason why I personally enjoy Anders's videos so much, is that I know he isn’t an "arm chair expert", but is literally a professional Military Analyst! And although he is a Navy guy, he still seem capable of staying sober long enough to make a video…. - (Just kidding, I got nothing against the Navy, and they got some brilliant people)

Don’t worry, others do - and your opinion doesn’t really matter

The accent is definitely there, but you’re right that it isn’t as heavy as some Danes!

@hansvonlobster1218 It’s hard to tell, but I’m pretty sure that Russia will go at great lengths to keep control over Sevastopol Naval Base - and it’s probably easier for them to just dig down deep and focus on defense, making it a high cost task to gain ground in Crimea. But I will love to be proven wrong in my guess and Ukraine take Crimea before Christmas!
4
Yup, I have the same thought! I would really love to know exactly WHO the "friend" that asked Aleksandr Dugin to ride with him is, how long they’ve been "fiends", and if he is somehow connected to either GRU or FSB! It wouldn’t surprise me one bit if the killing of Dugina was "the last warning" to Dugin!

He kind of is, that is - various Danish News Media occasionally contact him to get his perspective! But yes, I too wish that more News Sources, especially American, would talk to people like Anders, rather than some old dude sitting in America who hasn’t been in Europe since the Cold Ear ended….

@Bus-tator Did Flemming and Peter have that horrible takes earlier in the war? Then I’ve apparently forgotten all about it! Perhaps I was just to busy calling out the extremely problematic takes a lot of American and UK "tankies" had, so I forgot all about it! I almost never read JP, so forgive me if I’ve missed some shit they’ve written - but in general, I think we’re fairly lucky with a lot of the coverage we've seen in Danish mainstream media - especially compared to how poorly the takes where back in 2014 prior to the invasion! Heck, even Information has had some very well written articles - also touching on the topic that Anders is diving into in this video! But also having interviews with people explaining some of the efforts our, and other NATO soldiers, has been making to train soldiers in Ukraine since 2014. But yeah, as I said, maybe I just payed to much attention elsewhere and missed those with less rational or well thought out takes!
2
That very much depends on what happens next and what you think is good for Ukraine! This can very well be the turning point that can end up with Russia being forced to come up with some way to stop waging war!
2
Also the possibility that Russia will simply change tactics. Dig down, defend Crimea, and send missiles targeting important and perhaps even essential infrastructure in Ukraine! Simply to stall Ukraine, then make a new short offensive and claim they’ve reached their objective and now will focus on "defending Crimea"

@shrinkrapz Good point!

@Bus-tator That’s definitely some very stupid takes - no better than, and in fact very similar to, a lot of the takes I’ve seen rightwing Americans and a small segment of UK and US "Tankies" have! If you’re not familiar with what "Tankies" are, some of the worst of them are a bunch of "NazBol" Dugin-fanbois! And others among them just got shitty takes, because they somehow got their shoelaces stuck in a Time Machine and traveled back to the 60's-70's where the US did a lot of shitty things and then somehow that got turned into a narrative where it was important to oppose the US by supporting the old USSR, now represented by Russia, as if somehow "anti-imperialism" is best done by supporting imperialism!

He has to work too!

It will very likely be political suicide - unless they come up with a very creative and easily believable narrative, ASAP!
1
@ckcnj9175 However, a full mobilization from Russia is a very different kind of beast, and will take a lot more than a bunch of HIMARS to deal with… But the big question is, do Putin dare to risk it? The far-right Nationalists will love it if it happens, but it might turn out as a political suicide!

@signoguns8501 Did I say anything about it being wrong to have an accent? However, the reason to why people will often try to speak with less accent is because it usually get harder to understand them…
1
@signoguns8501 If you look through history, language has never been something stable, it’s always evolving! For long periods the Danish Elite spoke German, and in in other periods it’s been French! In 209 years Danish will still be a language - the ability to speak English without a thick Danish accent has nothing to do with it! I know people who speak several other languages fluently, this hasn’t changed their ability to speak Danish, even with local dialect!
1
Probably because it’s an old Nordic name!?
1
Well, technically it will usually eventually become a regrouping! It’s just a question about when and where….

Just like we "kicked your butt" as you express it yourself, Ukraine is currently "kicking Russia's butt" in Ukraine! If you listen to what Anders is actually saying and not just what you think he’s saying because you’ve been listening to people who maybe isn’t that grounded in reality, then Anders's take is falling on the conservative side of estimates! Also, what we've been witnessing wasn’t a simple retreat -it’s a full blown collapse where Russia has left a LOT of functioning equipment behind, and perhaps even more interesting, large amounts of ammunition! So unless it’s North Korean Ammunition and it got left behind because it was infested with plague, then Russia has just handed over A LOT of ammunition! A thing they are currently running very low on has been forced to buy in countries like North Korea
1
Which is why Putin rarely goes to Kremlin himself!

Depends on you prefer sleeping in your bed on the side, on the back, on the stomach, or on the floor under a table curled up in fetal position - no matter what it is, you should probably go with that!
1
@clausmadsen6754 There’s an old Russian saying that goes something like this; "Never wish Ill or death upon a bad Tzar" Basically implying that you never know if what you get instead is far worse! However, there’s also a old saying in Soccer saying: "it's hard to make a goal wig you don’t take 5he shot!"

Get nice ski underwear, and a good Poncholiner!
