Well Romans were Indo-Europeans same as Samnites, same as volsci, same as other italian people and gauls save for Etruscan, Nuragics and some people of Sicily (most of them were Language Isolates and we can safely assume they also were quite isolated themselves besides probably Etruscans but that is the matter for another topic. After all before Rome Etruscans were dominating over peninsular norther teritories. But despite probably not being Indo-Europeans they were porbably Paleo-Europeans ergo Europe's natives before our Ancestors came from the east. They probably looked similar to us anyway). But they weren't Nordics. Still they would faster look like "Nordics" instead like "wuHkAnDha" as Twitter folk from america loves to claim. Still that theory is BS just like afrocentrist theory. Afrocentrist theory is like theories of nazis but with different people in it.
