  172.  @brookico  there are at least 100 forms of dementia; there's no way of definitively diagnosing AD (or any other dementia) without an autopsy. For all we know, he might have Parkinson's disease dementia or Dementia with Lewy Bodies.

  178.  @Athena621  right??? And why whatever interest is earned is taxed as income? When I was a kid, I remember savings earning 5% and no tax. There were INCENTIVES to save. 5% is a very nice level of appreciation and it would encourage a savings account as part of a diversified investment portfolio because it's always good to keep some cash on hand.
