  13. @WheelsAlwaysTurning Actually, Nixon and Kissinger started it when they realized that the war in Vietnam was a lost cause and decided to change US foreign policy to fight communism from Containment to Collusion. They chose to defeat the Soviet Union by forming an alliance with China. This "divide and conquer" strategy was supported by Jimmy Carter and President George HW Bush and ultimately was successful in defeating the Soviet Union. However this strategy created a monster as succeeding presidents continued to support China at the behest of their corporate and financial institution doners who were profiting greatly from it. Trump was the first president to take real action to end it. Biden is pretending to be tough on China but he and his family are so heavily invested in this cesspool of corruption that he is limited in what he can do to stop it.
