@dragilxcom4176 As a citizen of Vietnam I have a BIG say in China's illegal encroachment in the East Sea (we don't call it the South China Sea here in Hanoi). There is no "working things out" with China. The only way Vietnam, Taiwan, the Phillippines and all the other soverign countries in East Asia are going to thwart Chinese aggression is with the help of the US and it's allies.

@dragilxcom4176 During the latter half of the 20th century Vietnam fought wars with France, Japan, America, Cambodia and China. The last thing the people of Vietnam want is another war. The best way to avoid war is to wlcome the presence of the US and it's allies in the region. China is a bully. Like all bullies, the only thing they understand is strength, and no country is stronger than the US. If China doesn't want the world involved in East Asia then they should stop bullying their neighbors. You agree with that, don't you?

@dragilxcom4176 What happened during the American war is in the past. China is the biggest threat to Vietnam now, as they have been for over a thousand years. Ideollogically, Ho Chi Minh was much more aligned with Thomas Jefferson than Karl Marx or Mao Zedon and the Vietnamese people admire and respect America because the American people enjoy a higher standard of living than China ever did or ever will.

Interesting theory about China's ambitions for the Arctic. It's consistant with other CCP actions so it should be taken seriously and watched closely.
