It's so emotionally healthy for this young lady to forgive her Mom and other relatives. She worked through the trauma to get to the place of understanding that they were all subject to this and shared the same trauma. Without forgiveness I don't think she and her family could have moved forward together to end this. Not only for her own children, but also to protect her younger cousins. Living in bitterness is not healthy. You can't change the past no matter how much you'd like to. Moving forward to make positive changes is the best any of us can do.
