  1. The mother covering her mouth when expressing how sorry she is that she put her child through the pain of the procedure is very telling. She doesn't believe what she is saying and is insincere. To me it seems as though some women in Japan are rejecting their own nationality. I know this isn't just limited to Japanese women and have seen a growing trend of a one size fits all beauty standard that is a rejection of an appearance related to their genetic characteristics. I find it sad that people are rejecting themselves when they are so uniquely beautiful to begin with.
