I happened upon a YouTube channel of this idiot woman from the US who was living in India and feeding stray dogs there regularly. She adopted a puppy who died just a few days after getting him. But she went on feeding the strays by hand. Then she just dissappeared, her channel dissappeared. I was concerned for her for many reasons and the risk of rabies was only one of them.

I couldn't agree more. There is no reason that High School kids or even middle school can't start learning real human anatomy in school. I actually wrote a book, never published, Human anatomy for very young children, for my daughter when she was only 5 or 6. Children are sponges and learning about their own bodies should be right up there with reading, writing, math and every other science.

Yes, she is the only case that I know of where someone survived after showing symptoms. I was upset that her dad made a big deal in the documentary about how she had such beautiful handwriting before she had rabies and now it's not the same. All I could think of was, you're daughter is alive! Who cares if she has beautiful handwriting now or not. I honestly believe that her survival was a miracle and hope that she has had a beautiful life.

I started having seizures after a head injury when I was around four years old. I wasn't diagnosed until I was 37. I remember my sister saying regularly to my mom and others, "She's in a daze, Coleen is just in a daze again". No one picked up on what was going on and I had no idea either. Day dreaming was what I put it down to as I got older. Or some would say, hyper focused, as I wouldn't hear what they were saying to me and they thought I was just super focused on something else or deep in thought. My diagnoses is TLE, but from your description I have to wonder. My aura's are lip smacking and ringing in my ears. I like to say that I have an alarm clock in my head that tells me that it's time to take my medication.

I've only heard of one case where someone survived after showing symptoms. She was put into an induced coma. She was never the same after, but she lived. Her rubies virus was transmitted to her by a bat.

@jessn.3851 Yes, I saw this documentary and I feel it was an absolute miracle that she didn't die. She's the only one that I have ever heard about that survived, but as you mentioned, she wasn't the same. Yet, I was super impressed at how well she actually was able to recover. Less her handwriting that her dad made a big deal about which I felt was odd. I've never had rabies and have terrible handwriting. The man should have been over the moon that the doctors, God, Angels, whatever saved his little girl.

@Marco-nr4wy Thank you. I had only heard of one. But still only 11 out of 50 to 70 thousand a year.
