@johntynan8161 Well it's newspapers so they're going to exaggerate it one way or the other. And people will almost every time eat that up.

Bismarck managed to sink a 20 year old Battlecruiser (which hasn't had any major refits since the day it was commissioned) and failed to sink a Battleship That sounds more of a disappointment than a legend to me

After Bismarck's last engagement, she had a list 20 degrees to port and was gradually settling in by the stern before any scuttling had occurred. That's a clear indication that the barrage that the Royal Navy ships did was certainly enough

Bismarck was only referred as a "he" by Captain Lindemann and few other officer and that's about it

An entire fleet you say? Quite rubbish Bismarck engaged a maximum of 4 ships at once and out of those 4 ships, 1 (13 year old) battleship rendered Bismarck combat ineffective in less than 30 minutes, after that Bismarck was merely reduced to a target practice ship
