@ibrahim-sj2cr first of all you need to bring evidence for that empty claim that salafis do own interpretation for mutashabihat? Where’s the proofs? And second salafis do 8 rakaat according to authentic sources from the Hadith of Aisha (a great scholar) the Hadith of Umar ibn khattab is weak (daeef) and prophet did not specify how many rakaat should be prayed for tarawih when a sahabi asked him how he should pray he taught him how to pray and did not specify or limit the units but he himself would always pray 8 rakaat

@ibrahim-sj2cr first of all we follow prophet he was infallible companions were not infallible and that Hadith for 20 rakaat has issues the narrator had issues we have authentic Hadith in bukhari reported from Aisha that prophet himself would not pray more than 11 we follow the way of prophet before we follow Umar Umar was not given revelation with regards to how many rakaat should be prayed prophet was and he prayed 11 and even then that Hadith has issues we have sahih bukhari mentioning prophet himself would pray 11 no one after the prophet is infallible even Umar I’d rather follow prophet if Umar differs with prophet Alhamdulillah for Sahih bukhari and prophets way of praying 11 Alhamdulillah
