The skill pool has been fare too diluted, any 6 year old can learn to play Hendrix easily these days, and play it “cleaner” (we don’t listen to Hendrix for perfection, but cleaner is cleaner) Look at the secretive magic community, they know that if one or two tricks get leaked or figured out, they’ve all been figured out. And no one goes to see a good magic show these days unless it’s someone from a time when it was cool like penn and teller.
