  2.  @thescience5307  the train works because less energy is used going up hill. The hydroelectric simply makes less energy than it takes to lift the water up hill. As a renewable energy source it’s a terrible idea but it would be a great battery like object in the event of a blackout. And I am keeping in mind that solar and wind can assist, plus there’s powerless ram-pumps that can pump up hill but even then I’m quite skeptical of its ability.. none of this is to say I’ll be mad or upset if I’m proven wrong as it would be a good result
