@drstrangelove307 here’s how canon-lore works. If the comics say one thing, and the subsequent movies don’t alter that lore, or don’t mention it? It is assumed to have still occurred. What, when a new Batman movie comes out, do his parents remain alive until they mention the murder?? Every hero/villain has their defining moment(s) and simply neglecting to mention those moments doesn’t mean they’ve not happened.
