  1. One of the reasons wiping is so important for modern humans is because our diets tend to be atrocious and so our poop is messier than it should be. Benefits to not wiping: reduced paper consumption, you don't have to worry about scratching your behind after a particularly messy or frequent adventure, and uh that's probably about it. Both those benefits can also be obtained through that most wondrous of inventions, the bidet. Moral of the story: bidets ftw.
