@dontbanmebrodontbanme5403 Omniman's whole motivation for deceiving and trying to conquer Earth was his violent upbringing and his loyalty to the Viltrum empire. The violence of the Viltrumites was all he knew, but as he lives a life on Earth, he experiences genuine compassion, and love, which have a profound life changing impact on him. It leads to him changing his whole outlook on life, regretting his decisions, learning to appreciate and enjoy peace, and becoming a genuine protector who fights to change the ruthless ways of the Viltrumite empire. Homelander on the other hand, has shown no inkling of compassion, trustworthiness or loyalty. That makes him a lot more heinous than Omniman.

@dontbanmebrodontbanme5403 Those things could happen, sure, but I disagree that they would necessarily happen. You can already do the first 3 of those things without any superpowers, and yet there are so many good people who don't act in the ways you've mentioned. Also, even if you consider different power dynamics, there are many bodybuilders or a martial arts experts, people who are physically more powerful than regular folks, who aren't they're not "squashing" people for disagreements. There are also very rich and influential people, who have the power to do a lot of harm, but who choose to do good things instead. What I think would really happen if we had people with superpowers, would be that we'd have a spectrum – from people who use their powers for good, to neutral, to downright villainous purposes. Unfortunately, the risks to society would greatly increase as well, as now you'd have individuals capable of causing mass harm and potentially destabilise entire nations by themselves.
