  1. It's because many people's attitudes are that if a public figure intellectual says anything that they disagree with, then it means that person is now an enemy. I disagree with Sam Harris's opinions on several things, but I agree with him on more. He brings valuable perspectives to a lot of conversations, and has interesting discussions with experts in many domains through his podcast.
