Comments by "Jim Werther" (@jimwerther) on "Pence disputes Trump team's characterization of lead-up to Jan. 6" video.
McCain was at the same place at this time leading up to the 2008 election, and he won the nomination.

@KT72273 I have a seeious question for you. Why do you hate Pence so much? I am genuinely curious.
7
@ghxfit Of course America is Pence's concern, certainly far more than Trump's is. After all, Pence is the one who followed the Constitution.
6
Pence's "treachery"? I mean, do you seriously believe such nonsense?
5
@frankdrevinpolicesquad2930 I didn't ask for wild, baseless accusations, but for a reasonable explanation. I guess that you don't have one?
5
@phillippac.7469 80s_Boombox_Collector is 100% correct. That accusation against Pence is ridiculous.
4
@frankdrevinpolicesquad2930 So far you have written two childish comments, but have provided not one word of a coherent argument nor a stitch of evidence.
4
@genericscout5408 Your comment is less than clear. But if you are claiming that Pence referred to himself as a liberal I would like some evidence for that.
3
@jeffhobbs3948 Your accusation against Pence is not only false, it is absurd.
2
@royrogers3133 There was actually one poll in which McCain was closer to 0% than the margin of error was for that same poll.
2
@huddybmusic Sad, isn't it?
2
@jackmeoff9299 Pence has always supported America and the Constitutiom. Can't say the same for Donald Trump.
2
Blaming politicans for everything is what fools do. Politicians are elected by the voters, and do what the voters want them to do. Blame yourself.
2
Pence never said that America was not his concern. That's absurd, obviously.
2
@BovisStercus Speaking as a conservative Republican, I don't know what is worse: Those who idolize Trump, or those who idolize Tucker. Both are self-aggrandizing serial liars, and neither is a conservative.
2
@West_Coast Vivek is the biggest phony running. He changes his positions depending on which group he is talking to.
1
@JarrodButali Trump is not a politician? What??!!
1
@rayphillips332 That is rather obviously not what Pence was saying.
1
@jimhills1920 You are correct, Pence's words are being taken wildly out of context. But I don't quite know where you are going with the rest of the first paragraph of your reply.
1
@joj8193 "Let him get away with" - What purpose would it have served if Pence had publicly said what he privately told Trump? Pence made it clear to Trump that Biden won the election. Going head-to-head with Trump publicly is hardly an effective way of trying to get Trump to acknowledge reality.
1
@5400bowen Thanks for the suggestion. What would we do without you? 🤦♂️
1
@genericscout5408 I have found no such reference online. Considering that Pence has held solidly conservatives beliefs throughout his career, some evidence would help.
1
@genericscout5408 I wonder about context. Remember Jack Kemp? The Buffalo, NY-area Congressman was first elected in 1970 as a true-blue conservative. He actually drew up Reaganomics, the economic plan used by Ronald Reagan in the latter's successful 1980 run for the presidency. He was considered one of the conservative superstars. In 1996, he was Bob Dole's choice for running mate when they challenged Clinton/Gore's re-election campaign. Yet Kemp once said something to the effect of, "On social issues, I'm a liberal with a Capital L". Make of it what you will.
1
@5400bowen Are you here only to troll? That's quite sad.
1
@BassByTheBay Joe Biden accepted millions of dollars in payoffs from foreign countries in his portfolio while he was Vice President, including from China, Ukraine, and others. The evidence is voluminous and overwhelming, and has been made public. We have firsthand witness testimony from numerous individuals who were directly involved, as well as Hinter Biden's own words. If you are actually interested in the facts, they are not difficilt to find, although the mainstream media mostly ignores the case. It is all out there, though, many hours of it. Did you expect someone to type out hundreds of pages here? While you refuse to lift a finger? The internet exists; use it.
1
@barbaram5787 No, Pence never said that at all. It is a bogus allegation.
1
@coledrevenj Your comment is unclear
1
@bakedbeans3181 Please write your comment in English.
1
@coledrevenj In what way did Pence betray anyone? He was incredibly loyal to Trump, but drew the line at violating the Constitution. Trump backstabbed Pence, not the other way.
1
@andercoyote4170 I do not understand your comment.
1
@billtmarchi4320 Are you denying that Trump is a serial liar?
1
@devonmerten2599 frankdrevinpolicesquad can't answer any questions, because he has no ability to think. As a member of Cult 45, he just repeats whatever Orange Jesus says.
1
@ritaaragon6781 You've explained precisely nothing.
1
@ritaaragon6781 Your comment is inscrutable.
1
@kathykempf9972 2000 Mules proved precisely nothing. When Brad Raffensberger, Georgia Secretary of State, asked its producers to meet in person so he could consider their opinion, they refused to interact with him. That makes them look ridiculous.
1
jerrymoore7817 I watched the interview and no, Pence absolutely did not say that. Only by twisting his words would one come to such a crazy conclusion.
1
@pjsdragonfly I certainly did see the interview. Anyone who believes that Pence was saying rhat he cared about Ukraine and not the US is being willfully ignorant.
1
jerrymoore7817 Watch the interview again, this time with an open mind. It was rather obvious in context that Pence was saying no such thing. (As if anyone would say that. What a ridiculous claim.)
1
@pjsdragonfly No serious person would claim that Pence - or anyone running for President - said, or would say, that he didn't care about the US. Not only would one have to pull a few words of conversation wildly out of context, one would also have to be willfully dense to believe that a presidential candidate would say or believe such a thing. Let's return to reality here.
1
@youtubesucks1499 I can only conclude that you are exhibiting a heavy bias. No reasonable, open-minded person would conclude that Pence was announcing that he cared about Ukraine and not about the US. Why? Because the context made it clear that it was not what he was saying, and because no one running for president of the United States would ever say something so absurd. So let's get serious here.
1
@pjsdragonfly See what I wrote just above, which applies equally to you as well. I should add (to both of you) that if you want Pence's comments spelled out clearly for you, Ben Shapiro played the tape on his show and addressed the rather crazy allegation that Pence said that he cared about Ukraine, not about the US. Not that I particularly needed Ben Shapiro to explain it, but if you want it laid out word by word, listen to Ben's breakdown of it.
1
@L.R.KNIGHT Pence absolutely never said that. What a ridiculous accusation.
1
@L.R.KNIGHT Anyone who doesn't understand the importance of helping Ukraine defend itself is not a conservative. As to Trump, it is one thing to vote for him, quite another to be in his cult. Too many here are cultists.
