  1.  @michellejames5953  Your first response was absolutely perfect 🎯 No, the parents need not feel guilty. I was able to walk alone on the local streets of my NYC neighborhood starting at age 10. If we locked everyone up until age 18, society would be far worse off. Anyone notice that the pandemic led to insane behavior? Keeping everyone under lock and key is a very bad idea.

  3.  @michellep5933  I wouldn't call it callous. Their job is to make everything crystal clear. Why did it matter that the criminal get caught? Could be because they promised their daughter. Or it could be because they want to protect everyone else. Only one way to find out - ask. I would doubt that the lady being interviewed was offended.
