Just remember: Nearly all the information Suffolk law enforcement needed was available a dozen years ago, but then-Police Chief James Burke, plus the DA who got Burke the job, Thomas Spota, and Spota's investigator, Chris McPartland, all three were corrupt as hell. The entire Suffolk PD was a total mess for years as a result. And yes, that helped the serial killer get away with this until now. Think about the roommate who managed to describe the "ogre" and his unusual vehicle - and no one did anything about it for well over a decade. Just unbelievable. All the credit to the current ones who solved it in six weeks. As to James Burke, Thomas Spota and the rest? Shame on them. I also feel bad for all the investigators who badly wanted to solve this case years ago but were stopped by James Burke and the rest of that bunch.

Most dispatchers are excellent at what they do, and it's not an easy job either. Before you judge this one, first find out how long she spent trying to reason with someone who was high as a kite and making no sense.

@1st-1ast Try responding to what I wrote instead of writing gibberish

@enigma_-_79 Your comment knocking Rader's daughter is truly disgusting. Have a heart.
21
@LuxMundiLR But some of them are men 😂
14
@enigma_-_79 You more than "admonished" a complete stranger - you viciously attacked her character. Think before typing.
11
@1st-1ast Lol! You're fooling no one but yourself, child.

@suzbone Thank you. I suspect he is simply a troll.

@irisheyesofbelfast If you have a question, ask. Your insults are a poor substitute.
7
@celticraider24 Are you talking about the Spetember 11 attacks? I seriously hope not.

@jonathank7394 Read her comments. I stand by what I wrote.

Everyone can get mad at me if you like, but can they stop telling me how much these women loved their kids? No, they didn't. Being an escort is both disreputable and unsafe. No good mother puts herself in that position.

@celticraider24 Do you live in Alabama?

Overall, police dispatchers do an excellent, professional job.

@techlife9853 You can't write "wud". Please, it looks ridiculous.

@techlife9853 Apparently you're still in grade school. Perhaps you'll grow up one day.
2
@techlife9853 You're well on your way. And upvoting your own comment is really sad as well.

@susanalexander6721 He wasn't.

@osiris_blanche Higher than usual, apparently. She drowned herself. Life sucks. Far more sympathetic victims out there.
2
@YouAreStarDust YT repeatedly deletes my responses

@happyhomebody1556 Your claim doesn't instinctively make a lot of sense. Why would they cover that up? I have a hard time believing that.
2
@GetUnwoke Easy to point fingers. Problem is Shannan was high as a kite and apparently seeing ghosts when she ran straight into the marsh on a dark night. Why would the PD want to cover it up? You don't think they'd like to drop that one on Heuermann as well, or perhaps on another perp? But the evidence says otherwise. Deal with it.

@cowboykelly6590 What story? The one the commenter made up?

@techlife9853 Your loss. It's sad.

@Jecal34 They're mostly excellent at what they do. As to the one in Shannan Gilbert's case, okay, she got exasperated talking to someone who was high as a kite and seeing ghosts. Now what?
1
@osiris_blanche She wasn't murdered. The others were. Different situations entirely.

@mynamenotgiven5717 How can I help you?
