  1. In fairness to the police, there is very little they can do, as the laws are not really there to allow them to do anything. New and better laws would be nice, but it is quite difficult for the government to sort out relationships at home.

  2. This reminds me of George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin: Two animals get violent with each other. Someone won, the other one's dead, and a pox on both their houses. No one should be convicted of much of anything.
