  6.  @alexanderthereacter8760  Dr. John Sarno was at NYU for many years, and did research that could absolutely help you. His first book, "Mind Over Back Pain" (1984) sold millions of copies. He updated it with "Healing Back Pain" (1991), "The Mindbody Prescription" (1998), and finally "The Divided Mind" (2006). Buy yourself any one those last three, and it could change your life. I would recommend "The Mindbody Prescription", but they all do the job.
