Head Coach Dan Campbell said that it was largely a numbers crunch, as they had players coming off of injured reserve. That may well have been a factor. After all, if he was a star, wouldn't they have waited for the results of the BAC test?

Assuming he was drunk. I do NOT trust field sobriety tests. Let's wait for the BAC results to come back, shall we?

@bobthetitanic If he sues, his NFL career is over, as it should be. No team owes any player a job.

@antwandukes Because I responded to the question posed by the OP, and provided the relevant answer, information not provided in this video. I did the same in a handful of other threads. Understand that not everyone reads through the entire comment section.

@cjr2727 Not too fast. Head Coach Dan Campbell said that it was largely a numbers crunch, as they had players coming off of injured reserve. That may well have been a factor. After all, if he was a star, wouldn't they have waited for the results of the BAC test?

Assuming he's guilty. Those field sobriety tests are not reliable.

Assuming he's guilty. Note he wasn't charged. Let's wait for the BAC numbers to come back.

@WoodyWard Why?

@WoodyWard So you agree with my response. However, 1)Employees serve at the pleasure of their employer. That is the nature of a free country - businesses and employees are free to agree to terms that work for both. The Lions need to fulfill the four corners of the contract, nothing more, nothing less. 2)Head Coach Dan Campbell said that it was largely a numbers crunch, as they had players coming off of injured reserve. That may well have been a factor. After all, if he was a star, wouldn't they have waited for the results of the BAC test?

@carlhicksjr8401 I wouldn't know. Perhaps there is no more space on the practice squad? Perhaps they are waiting for him to clear waivers and then re-sign him? Either way, I will assume that if the scientific results clear him, he'll land on his feet somewhere.

We don't know what he did. Field sobriety tests are emphatically not reliable. Let's wait for the BAC results before reaching conclusions.
