  2.  @thelaurens1996  Well, that would be relevant if we were writing our comments in that language, right? But we are writing in English, both of us, and in English the letters of the language are pronounced differently, and therefore the words are spelled differently. In English, it's "Ghent".

  4.  @EaglePicking  Not in American English, it isn't. Every student of US history is aware of the "Treaty of Ghent". I know how the locals pronounce it, which is in a way that I can't spell it out in English, but here the town is spelled "Ghent".
