No more Trump, please. Bring a real conservative.

@j.j.upright4010 Trump got the following done: He got women and suburbanites so upset with his disgusting behavior that we now have a Democrat President, Senate, and House.

@drawingdead9025 Trump is too ignorant to know a policy bill if hit him in the nose. Tax and regulatory cuts were crafted by Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell, while Trump tweeted stupid stuff.

@dustincarrigan4558 No, Trump did that to himself. The reason the media was able to get away with their outrageous "reporting" and not have the political center turn against them is because of the disgust that rational people have for Trump and his antics. If we had an adult as president, someone like a Jeb Bush or perhaps even a Marco Rubio, the center would have been repulsed by the anti-American thugs and their leftist supporters in the media and Democrat Party, and the GOP could have had a landslide victory. That's kind of what happened in 1972. But 80m people voted against Trump, even though none of them actually like Biden. There is no one who actually likes Biden. But he won, as Mr. "Anyone But Trump".

@psychopenguins3848 $250m in 1978 money is over $1b today, which is more than Donald Trump's net worth. And if he wasn't bailed out by the banks in the early 1990s, Trump would have been completely finished 30 years ago. But keep drinking the Kool Aid.

@drawingdead9025 His regulatory and tax cuts helped business; his tariffs, opposed by conservatives, hurt it.

@drawingdead9025 You have to be smart about it. The tariffs - against numerous countries - obviously caused retaliation, and badly hurt some US businesses.
1
@psychopenguins3848 And how much is $250m in 1970s money worth today? More than Donald Trump is worth.

@StephenBrewer89 Trump repelled the center, which is why the Democrats now run the country. I miss Reagan.

@dominichutchison1322 Things look different when you are on the other side of the world. Are you? Trump is an embarassment, but I have no problem with killing terrorists like Soleimani with drone strikes. Trump never declared personal bankruptcy; some of his companies did. That said, he only avoided personal bankruptcy because the banks bailed him out in the early 1990s, as he was too big too fail, as they say. The war against drugs was not controversial in the 1980s. It was started long before Reagan, and continued well after his time. People debate thr issue now. Either way, it was hardly a central point of the Reagan Revolution.
1
@dominichutchison1322 1. Trump never declared personal bankruptcy. 2. Your point re drone strikes is unclear. 3. The war of drugs started long before Reagan and continued long afterward. There was wide, bipartisan support for it. 4. The hard left used the courts to empty out the mental institutions in the 1970s, helping lead to a spike in violent crime.
1
@dominichutchison1322 What was Reagan supposed to do about leftist judges releasing people from mental institutions, aside from appointing conservative judges? Drop bombs on them? Drones were not invented yet. Your intense focus on drugs is more than a little strange, as if you largely judge a president by how much crack he lets you use. Of all things... Lastly, if you misspell Reagan's name once, it would be a typographical error. You've now written "Regan" nearly a dozen times, which does not reflect well upon your overall knowledge of anything about which you are commenting.
1
@dominichutchison1322 You are very lacking in perspective here. Everyone, on both sides of the aisle, saw that crack was ravaging the inner city, and was trying to do something about it. The comparison to alcohol has its limits. Anyway, Reagan was probably the greatest president in US history, a topic about which you have little knowledge. As a result, you are blowing areas of your specific interest wildly out of proportion, without having a real understanding of the larger picture.
1
@dominichutchison1322 JFK?? Where'd you get that idea??
1
Um, anyone at Fox care to source the part about the anthem not being played?
