  3. Rob Astorino will be governor around the same time I will be. The Republican nominee will be Lee Zeldin, a popular Long Island congressman, and even he has an uphill climb in blue NYS.

  6.  @Tony-ex2rm  That makes no sense. Every person on Long Island is the same? Zeldin is a good person, a good conservative, and a solid candidate. He is going to win the nomination. I would happily support either Zeldin or Astorino against Hochul.

  8.  @Tony-ex2rm  Your comment is just a rant, nearly fact-free. Rob Astorino is no better known outside of Westchester than Lee Zeldin is outside of LI; in fact the opposite is probably true. I'm in LowHud, and I know of Zeldin. Also, Astorino is older, and struck out in 2014. Zeldin is a young, fresh face, very likeable, and has a compelling story. I don't know that there are any significant differences on policy between the two. The NYS Republican and Conservative Parties will almost certainly throw their weight behind Zeldin, so this is academic: It's Zeldin's, barring a major surprise. It is not as if Astorino has a strong base of support anywhere outside of Westchester with which to overcome Zeldin.
