@donreinke5863 I drive very old cars, although my current oldest is a 2000, not from the 1990s. (A couple of years ago my 1996 was totalled by a drunk driver.) Although it's unlikely I will ever again own a pre-1995 car, I'd love to know how to diagnose with a paper clip or by cycling the ignition on and off three times rapidly. (Let me note upfront that I am decidely not a handy guy.)

@donreinke5863 Very interesting, although far easier for someone like you than for me. Shouldn't a basic diagnoser found for $50 online do the same and more for all cars?

@user-ue9jq6fp9b Funny, I would have been born in Europe if that heavily cultured continent hadn't started two world wars. My parents had to flee for their lives. More recently, your heavily cultured continent has invited widespread criminality, terrorism and war through one bad decision after another. And, as always, we American rubes are expected to save you very cultured Europeans from destroying yourselves and the world. Thank you for reminding us how the same mindset that has wrought destruction throughout the globe has been suffused with unbearable arrogance leading to such disastrous decisions, instead of actually learning from your errors. Massive ignorance plus incredible arrogance is how you end up as you do. And you are the perfect example of everything that has ruined the continent. Don't you have a global warming conference to fly a private jet to? Aren't you busy inviting in criminal elements by the thousands to take over your cities and rape your women? Why aren't you busy protesting against non-renewable energy sources so as to prop up the Russian government as they try to gobble up surrounding European countries? Surely you're too busy than to waste your time with we uneducated Americans, right?
