@Bitchslapper316 It is wholly unrealistic. Most Congressmen work insanely long hours as it is. Do you believe they can read 1000 page bills all the time? And do their own full prep researching every issue before a hearing? Of course they have to lean heavily on staff. That said, do you really believe that they let staff outvote them on decision making? Staff is there to get the legislator up to speed, and he or she then decides how to vote on a given issue.
