Gaetz isn't a close call - he is extremely unqualified. Any Senator whose loyalty is to the the United States and not to his own career a Should obviously vote no on Gaetz.

Which is why they should send through Suzie Wiles, Marco Rubio, Pete Hegseth, and the various other good-to-excellent choices, while resoundingly rejecting disasters such as Kristi Noem and - especially - Matt Gaetz.

But it is so embarassing seeing fellow Republicans acting exactly the way that the Lincoln Project types stereotype them as. Let's just remember that online is not real life.   23.  @Foolofatook889  I just read up. I'm still unclear, but it seems that perhaps he resigned so quickly in order to derail the House Ethic Committe investigation of his various criminal acts. Anyway, the NYT is quoting various anonymous GOP Senators as saying that Gaetz won't make it through confirmation. Gaetz's reptile look is an accurate representation of his true character.
