@triggerm6323 He has put himself out on the line many times. He first became known nationally when he opposed the media and became one of the impeachment managers against Bill Clinton. I don't agree with Graham about everything, but he is an honorable man, who sticks to his convictions.

@triggerm6323 I'll give you one more example: Graham believes that Presidents should have the right to appoint judges they choose, and the Senate should go along in all but the most extreme, egregious cases. As such, he voted for leftist Supreme Court nominees such as Elena Kagan and even Sonia Sotomayor. He knew that South Carolinian voters would be unhappy, inviting a primary challenge the next time he was up for re-election, but he followed his beliefs anyway. I respect that. In a less partisan time, Scott would be widely seen as a future president. He is hard-working, smart, educated, passionate, and a true gentleman. Perhaps the most respected members of the Senate on either side.

@mikeparker6322 I disagree. A good nominee beats a lousy Democrat like Biden or Kamala. And a minority doesn't bring in minority votes, it just makes the media lie that much more about him/her.

@mikeparker6322 I was certain Trump would choose a woman or a minority. He didn't, and he won, beating a woman. McCain chose a woman, and no one cared. Mondale ran with a woman in 1984, and lost 49 states to 1. Kamala Harris got crushed in the primaries last year, despite being a woman of color. Clarence Thomas was slandered horribly when he was nominated to the Supreme Court. Obama won because he was intelligent, good looking, and very smooth, while Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and Douglas Wilder went nowhere in their attempts to win the Democrat nomination for president. The list goes on: That stuff is usually quite overrated. On the rare occasions it matters, it is only when the Democrat candidate is the appropriate minority. As I noted above, the leftist media saves their worst and most vicious slander for conservatives of color. Have you noticed what they said about Winsome Sears in the last few days? There is literally nothing negative about her, but that doesn't stop the leftist slanderers in the media. Although Tim Scott is respected on Capitol Hill as a quiet, hard-working, intelligent, well-informed, and professional individual, the media would paint him to be the total opposite. We know why: Successful conservative minorities spells doom for the left's false narrative, so they resort to anything and everything, no matter how vile, in order to protect their brand. I would love Scott as a VP candidate in 2024 (or beyond), and would prefer a more aggressive sort on top of the ticket, such as Tom Cotton. But either way, I don't think color or gender will sway the election.

@mikeparker6322 I understand what you are saying, but the Republicans simply do not benefit from putting forward female or minority candidates. The Democrat media just works that much harder to slander them.

@mikeparker6322 Dole and Romney were exceedingly uninspiring, and both lost. If Trump is somehow not around to scare the center into voting Democrat, a ticket such as DeSantis/Cotton could absolutely win.

@mikeparker6322 I remember Bill Clinton lying every day: "This is the worst economy since the Great Depression", as if the economy was worse than it had been under Jimmy Carter, or even throughout the late 1960s and entire 1970s. Not only did the media let Clinton get away with his lie, they covered for him by acting like there was a recession going on. Later on, they admitted that the recession had ended in the beginning of 1992.
