@kouta43210 The 5th Amendment explicitly allows it. Without eminent domain, we wouldn't have any highways or roads.

@frotobaggins7169 Wrong-o! Eminent domain is in the 5th Amendment. The problem is that the five left-wing justices approved it in Kelo, which was not what the 5th Amendment was referring to with the term "public use".

@RobertMurry-s5o That's senseless anarchism. Government should do only what can not be reasonably and efficiently done by the private sector, such as creating the highway system and raising an army. Even libertarians agree with that. Anarchism is what the French tried in the late 1700s - early 1800s, and that only led to thousands of people losing their heads.

@RobertMurry-s5o Does that include roads, highways, fire departments, police departments and courts, to name a few? Libertarianism I understand, anarchy I don't.

@kouta43210 Your comment contradicts itself not once, but twice. It is utterly non-sensible.
5
@frotobaggins7169 It was the left-wing justices who constituted the five-person majority ruling.

@KalonOrdona2 You know that I agree with every word you wrote, right? Why'd you tag me?

The Kelo case is famous as one of the most embarassing domestic situations in American history. It was Democrat-appointed judges who supported it.
4
@RobertMurry-s5o In short, you're an anarchist. Because we all know the difference between a social community with full voluntary buy-in versus a community - and certainly a country - with diverse backgrounds and belief systems.
3
@RobertMurry-s5o By no definition am I a socialist. Do you not understand basic definitions of words? Smh 🤦♂️
3
@darrennew8211 Not sure what's going on, but it seems you deleted your earlier comment, so I guess I should do the same with mine.

@Rocknjonnie Kelo v. New London (2005) is famous as one of the worst Supreme Court decisions ever. It was the five left-wing justices who made it happen.
1
@trishgels I wrote that already, but using around one tenth the words. Why'd you tag me?

@camoveteran2219 Marvin Heemeyer was a sick, twisted, evil man.
1
@XJWill1 You're being highly impractical. There is a reason our founding fathers included it in the Constitution.
1
@shootincoyotes If we only had roads built before the Constitution was written we'd be in trouble.
1
@kouta43210 Impossible, because it is contradictory in multiple places.
1
@KalonOrdona2 No problem 👍
1
@TheRealDrJoey Did you not understand my comment? Apparently not, although I couldn't have been clearer. Try again, or hire a tutor.
1
@Helo_rides_for_commies I certainly did watch the video, and responded accordingly.
1
@XJWill1 I already know that you're a fool. Fear not.

@chrislee176 Radical libertarians such as yourself are foolish children. Government should be limited, not outlawed. Every rational adult understands that a society with no controlling legal authority is no society at all, but rather a recipe for mass chaos. And calling something explicitly allowed by the Constitution "unconstitutional" or "illegal" further shows your immaturity and shallowness. By the way, why do I suspect that you are also a Lost Causer?
1
@RobertMurry-s5o Lol! I accept your concession.
1
@frotobaggins7169 Either you can't read my earlier comment or you can't read your own, neither of which would be my problem. Have someone explain it to you instead.
