Wrong you are. As the studies have shown, reusable bags are a net loss for the environment. As to the plastic waste in the ocean, nearly all of it comes from Eastern countries.

@TK-zj7cl "Long enough" means for 10 to 15 years, which obviously happens rarely, if ever. No, you are completely wrong. Nearly all eastern countries make no attempt at environmental safety, because they are too poor to worry about such things. And no, we do not make a habit of sending plastic recyclables to the east, as it makes no economic sense. I can not think of a single instance of plastic recycling being sent from the US to the east. Why are you trying so hard to invent excuses, instead of exposing yourself to the truth? I have given you several resources, as it is obvious that you have lived in an echo chamber of leftist narratives all your life. Why not take a breath and learn something instead of flailing about while recycling falsehoods?

I remember that NYT Magazine article, it was around 25 years ago. NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani cited it the next day at a press conference. The fact that we still have these stupid laws in place shows how badly the leftists still have us under their thumbs. The founding fathers are crying heaven.
